 Janno Gibbs Three years since his last studio album where he shared vocal chores with some of the business' busiest divas , Janno Gibbs is back in the music scene with a bang. The album, his first under GMA Records has reached platinum status on the strength of three hit singles ( Fallin', Pinakamagandang Lalaki and Kung Mamahalin Mo Lang Ako) that Janno himself wrote. The CD also boasts of songs that brilliantly showcase Janno's unique brand of rhythm and blues: Soon ( written by Wency Cornejo), Di Ko Man Lang Alam (Jojo Alejar), and the new single Kasinungalingan (Freddie Saturno). Those with a bent for nostalgia will not be disappointed either. Here Janno remakes a couple of OPM hits, "Sana Dalawa ang Puso Ko" (Bodjie Dasig), and Nonoy Zuniga's classic hit, "I'll Never Ever Say Goodbye." And then, there's a reprise of Boz Scaggs' "Heart of Mine." As a treat to his fans, GMA Records released a Special Edition album which features a new recorded track and three music videos. Janno claims this is the first album in which he has put in not just his singing. Sharing producer's responsibility, Janno has taken an active role in the selection of the material for the album, working closely with arrangers and the engineers. With SEVEN, Janno Gibbs asks you to take a second look at what is, in essence, his true persona: that of a singer with the smoothest voice this side of R&B. He is currently working on his new album due for release in the third quarter of 2006.
